The Featured Monkees Episode Of The Week is No. 34, "The Picture Frame" (a.k.a. "The Bank Robbery") (prod. #4759, aired on NBC September 18, 1967, April 1 and September 9, 1968), 50 decades after its third and final broadcast on NBC, and the (true) final NBC television networkcast of The Monkees altogether.
And that's it! The 50th anniversary of all 58 installments of The Monkees in its entire 2-season broadcast span on NBC (save one)---first-run and repeat---have been observed! This site will for the first time in 2 years revert to chronologically featuring episodes alternating seasons, and will once again be featured on Monkee Monday, after many years on Pleasant Valley Sunday, in advance of the 52nd anniversary of the show's World Premiere next Wednesday.
Excactly 50 years to the day it was networkcast for the second time on NBC, The Featured Monkees Episode Of The Week is No. 52, "The Devil And Peter Tork" (prod. #4737, aired on NBC February 5 and July 29, 1968). Also made slight changes in the HEAD synopsis upon learning that the team of soldiers seen during the bridge-opening ceremony and in the Columbia lot were not The National Guard as previously thought, but actually a championship drill team of students from L.B. Jordan High School in Los Angeles; a new Trivia Note has also been added to HEAD stating this fact. Both "It's A Nice Place To Visit..." (a.k.a. "The Monkees In Mexico") and "Hillbilly Honeymoon" (a.k.a. "Double Barrel Shotgun Wedding") recieve new Trivia Notes as well.
