Episode No. 37, "Art For Monkee's Sake" (prod. #4744, aired on NBC October 9, 1967 and April 22, 1968), is The Featured Monkees Episode Of The Week, 50 years to the day NBC reran it.
Also updated VITAL STATISTICS & CREDITS (to reflect The Monkees' dearth of repeats on Antenna TV and IFC), added a Collector's Note and a new Guest Cast Note to “The Royal Flush”, and added an important Collector's Note to 33 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee.
50 years to the day of its rebroadcast on NBC, The Featured Monkees Episode Of The Week is No. 35, "Everywhere A Sheik Sheik" (prod. #4749, aired on NBC September 25, 1967 and April 8, 1968).
Episode No. 58, the Micky Dolenz-cowritten/directed "Mijacogeo" (a.k.a. "The Frodis Caper") (prod. #4770, aired on NBC March 25, 1968), is The Featured Monkees Episode Of The Week, on the Golden Anniversary of its initial airing as The Monkees television series' series finale on NBC.
And there you have it...the 50th anniversaries of the initial first-run broadcasts of all 58 episodes of The Monkees television series on NBC for 2 seasons (1966 to 1968)---save for one---have been observed! All that's left is to showcase the 50th anniversary of the summer 1968 NBC repeat sesson, and after that the featuring of the regular alternating season episodes will resume. It's been a long, wild ride for 50 years! And let's continue the ride for at least 50 more.
