First off, many happy returns, Uncle Sam!
Also, new episode snaps have been added to “Monkee Mother” and "The Monkees Race Again" (a.k.a. "And Leave The Driving To Us"), and Trivia Notes are etier added to are updated in "The Monstrous Monkee Mash" and "The Monkees Race Again" (a.k.a. "And Leave The Driving To Us").
Episode No. 4, “Your Friendly Neighborhood Kidnappers” (prod. #4703, aired on NBC October 3, 1966 and May 15, 1967), is this week's Featured Monkees Episode.
Also, you notice in the past few days some more further tinkering has been done! For instance, the titles of each episode in each Monkees episode capsule is now seen in all-caps and rendered under a new font: Franklin Gothic Condensed. According to Jenny, the webmistress of the Sunshine Factory fansite, Franklin Gothic (EF) Condensed is the font which was used for the credits of The Monkees' 1965 pilot, the 1966-68 TV show, and the 1968 movie HEAD. Thus I was inspired to incorporate the font to this site, to, y'know, bring it a bit closer to the show (and related projects). The episode pages, along with those for HERE COME THE MONKEES: The Original 1965 Pilot Episode, THE MONKEES (NBC, 1966-1968), and HEAD (COLUMBIA, 1968), are the only portions of this site which will benefit from this great change.
The Featured Monkees Episode Of The Week is No. 35, "Everywhere A Sheik Sheik" (prod. #4749, aired on NBC September 25, 1967 and April 8, 1968). And you may have noticed some further tinkering has been done to the site, mainly on the front page index!
Also, if you noticed that a great portion of this site looks...different, you'd be right! I merely adjusted the table width of the pages to make the site more compatible for widescreen computers while still preserving the original screen ratio, with which it was best viewed, as I felt it looked too unatrractive being stretched out from one corner of the screen to another.
Thanks to a new laptop in my possession, regular updates of The Monkees Film & TV Vault resume, after a half-year absence!
Episode No. 2, “Monkee See, Monkee Die” (prod. #4705, aired on NBC September 19, 1966 and May 1, 1967), is this week's Featured Monkees Episode.
