Its initial Late Movie broadcast on CBS took place on December 30, 1974, coinciding with Michael Nesmith's 32nd birthday and David Jones' 29th; this renetworkcast coincided with the 35th birthday of ex-Beatle drummer Ringo Starr, who's mentioned in the movie.
