Episode No. 37, "Art For Monkee's Sake" (prod. #4744, aired on NBC October 9, 1967 and April 22, 1968), is this week's Featured Monkees Episode.
The Chrismas season is upon us once again, and that means a return of The Monkees Film & TV Vault's annual red/green Xmas page, set to the MIDI tune of “Ríu, Chíu,” the Latin Christmas carol The Monkees sang in their 1967 Christmas episode.
Oh...and this week's Featured Monkees Episode is No. 36, “Monkee Mayor” (prod. #4760, aired on NBC October 2, 1967 and April 15, 1968).
Added an Inconsistency to “Your Friendly Neighborhood Kidnappers” and a Trivia Note to “The Monkees On Tour”, plus Production Notes are corrected in "A Coffin Too Frequent" and "The Monkees In Paris" (a.k.a. "The Paris Show").
Episode No. 35, "Everywhere A Sheik Sheik" (prod. #4749, aired on NBC September 25, 1967 and April 8, 1968), is this week's Featured Monkees Episode.
A very special occasion today.
On the very afternoon of this day in 1997, I sowed seeds of a new Monkees fansite, which blossomed to well beyond full flower over the years. I activated a free account @ Tripod, settled down in in a computer lab @ Isaac Delgado Community College, took keyboard in hand and gave life to The Monkees Film & TV Vault, a Monkees fan page (loosely patterned after Louis Colli's The Monkees Music Vault) which is a comprehensive guide to The Monkees' filmed work, on TV and the big screen, the product of 10+ long years' worth of research, and (for my money) the first-ever fully detailed account of The Monkees' film and television history.
Now as you may have guessed as to that special occasion, today marks its 17th anniversary on The World Wide Web!
Again, as always, a deeply felt thanks to all of you, Web surfers and Monkees devotees alike, for all your love, support, and many invaluable contributions without which The Monkees Film & TV Vault's 17 years could not have been possible.
Monkeemania!!
