This coming Pleasant Valley Thursday, The Monkees Film & TV Vault celebrates a big birthday: its 27th Anniversary on The World Wide Web!
As a result, the MF&TVV Halloween page is on hiatus this week in favor of its annual anniversary throwback index page boasting a body background of screengrabs (all captured by Smartphone from previous caches of the site from Internet Archive) displaying the many changes, alterations and facelifts The MF&TVV had undergone (which I created for its 25th Anniversary in 2022), with The Featured Monkees Episode Of The Week being “The Monkees In A Ghost Town” (prod. #4704, aired on NBC October 24, 1966 and July 17, 1967), Episode No. 7 of The Monkees, which aired a good 31 years to the day this very Monkees Film TV & Vault was launched!
Episode No. 34, "The Picture Frame" (a.k.a. "The Bank Robbery") (prod. #4759, aired on NBC September 18, 1967 and April 1, 1968), is this week's Featured Monkees Episode. Also contributed extra data to the Guest Cast Notes of “The Monkees A La Carte”, “The Son Of A Gypsy”, “I Was A Teenage Monster” and “The Monkees On The Line”, and added a new one to "Monkee Mayor".
This coming Pleasant Valley Thursday is the 58th Anniversary of The Monkees television series' World Premiere on The NBC Television Network.
58 years?! Gosharoony! That's the exact same number of Monkees episodes!
Speaking of which, the very first Monkees episode, the Emmy Award-winning “The Royal Flush” (prod. #4701, aired on NBC September 12, 1966 and May 8, 1967), is, appropriately, The Featured Monkees Episode Of The Week, to celebrate 58 Revolutions Per Monkee.
