And here we are, the very first Monkees Film & TV Vault Update on the very first Pleasant Valley Saturday of The New Year 2022 A.D.; which means the Monkees Film & TV Vault New Year's HTML decor has been taken down in favor of the regular page.
We close the door on The Monkees' 55th Anniversary year of 2021 and open another to embrace a Monkees-related milestone of a different kind! This year, as a lot of you know, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Monkees Film & TV Vault, The World Wide Web's leading comprehensive guide to The Monkees' filmed work, on TV and the big screen, hence the presence of the special Monkees Film & TV Vault Silver Anniversary masthead, which will be prominently featured on the front index across the Silver Jubilee Year of 2022 A.D.
Welp...there're only 6 days remaining in The Year 2021 Anno Domini. It's all come down to this, hasn't it? Man...where did the time go??
Which means The Monkees Film & TV Vault's New Year's page is back in the fold, but with a twist: the introduction of the special Monkees Film & TV Vault Silver Anniversary masthead on the front page! Yeah, I've been dropping hints of its impending 25th year online in the special cover art displayed in the Facebook MF&TV page and adjoining group and the MF&TVV Groups.io newsgroup for quite a bit now, but the masthead makes is first appearance on the actual site itself for this monumental milestone. Also, updated a portion in THE MONKEES (NBC, 1966-1968) pertaining the end of the series 4-year run in repeats on FETV--Family Entertainment Television, updated a production note in “The Monkees In Manhattan” (a.k.a “The Monkees Manhattan Style”), recreated the Memorial on the front page (using the 1966 "Director's Chair" still of the late David Jones, Peter Tork and Michael Nesmith arranged in the order of their deaths), and gave Episode No. 6, “The Success Story” (prod. #4710, aired on NBC October 17, 1966 and May 29, 1967), the privelege of being the last Featured Monkees Episode Of 2021.
Here's wishing you and The Monkees Film & TV Vault's Silver Jubilee year of 2022 to be a safe, healthy...

This week's Featured Monkees Episode is No. 47, "The Monkees Christmas Show" (a.k.a. "The Christmas Story") (prod. #4746, aired on NBC December 25, 1967), in observance of The Big Day this coming Saturday!
Also, HTML in all the episode pages of Monkees episodes with alternate titles (including “Here Come The Monkees” [Original Pilot Film] and the special Hey Hey It's The Monkees [a.k.a. "A Lizard Sunning Itself On A Rock"] [one of whose Trivia Notes has been updated to reflect Michael Nesmith's passing]) has been altered to enable the large type (the acutal title) and the smaller type (the alternate tite) to press together closer.
As always, here's wishing all of you...

The Monkees Film & TV Vault's weeklong mourning period of Robert Michael Nesmith is now behind us, and The Monkees Film & TV Vault Christmas page has been reinstated.
Safe travels to Michael, Peter and David...
Episode No. 38, "I Was A 99-lb. Weakling" (a.k.a. "Physical Culture") (prod. #4757, aired on NBC October 16, 1967 and April 29, 1968), is this week's Featured Monkees Episode, with a brief tribute to the recently-deceased David Draper, who portrayed Bulk in the episode. Also made some Notes updates/tinkerings in "I Was A 99-lb. Weakling" (a.k.a. "Physical Culture"), "The Monkees In Paris" (a.k.a. "The Paris Show") and HEAD, and posted indication of this coming weekend's yet another Weekend Binge of The Monkees TV series on The Decades TV Network, possibly to honor the late Michael Nesmith.
As many of you know, another Monkee wrench has been pitched into the works: the recent death of series regular/lead guitarist Robert Michael Nesmith, 20 days away from his 79th birthday.
As a result, The Monkees Film & TV Vault Christmas page has gone black in his honor, and this shall run for a week.
