Benevento, 2023 Anno Domini. And on literally the very first Pleasant Valley Sunday of The New Year!
This year we celebrate the 55th anniversary of the end of the rather short but still remarkable run of The Monkees television series on NBC, and the brief release of their only motion picture, HEAD. And to mark the latter, the regular index of The Monkees Film & TV Vault returns after a monthlong absence, including an indication of the jubilee of The Monkees' lone cinematic romp.
The very first Featured Monkees Episode of The Year 2023 Anno Domini is No. 36, "Monkee Mayor" (prod. #4760, aired on NBC October 2, 1967 and April 15, 1968). And several Guest Cast Notes have been updated/extended in “Your Friendly Neighborhood Kidnappers”, “I've Got A Little Song Here”, “Too Many Girls” (a.k.a. "Davy And Fern"), and "The Monkees On The Wheel", and Trivia Footnotes have been updated in "The Monkees Christmas Show" (a.k.a. "The Christmas Story") and added to HEAD.
And so, with another Christmas in the sack (so to speak!), this final Monkee Monday of The Year 2022 Anno Domini sees The Monkees Film & TV Vault's Xmas page being swapped out for the New Year's page, with an indication of the forthcoming year's fifty-fifth anniversary of the limited release of The Monkees' lone cinematic romp: the 1968 Columbia Pictures tour de force, HEAD. The Featured Monkees Episode, out-of-season or not, remains No. 47, "The Monkees Christmas Show" (a.k.a. "The Christmas Story") (prod. #4746, aired on NBC December 25, 1967), throughout the week, as 2022 enters the home stretch.

As a result, the year's last Featured Monkees Episode is No. 47, "The Monkees Christmas Show" (a.k.a. "The Christmas Story") (prod. #4746, aired on NBC December 25, 1967), in observance of Xmas and the 55th anniversary of The Monkees' television series 1967 fall finale's firstrun airing on NBC! (And also to commemorate 51 years since its third and final Saturday Afternoon repeat.)
